About me...

My name is Melina Wuggonig and I live in the south of Austria. There I grew up on our little farm, surrounded by many different animals. In addition to my great passion for horses, I have loved to draw ever since I was a child.

Over the years, I increasingly discovered my creative skillsets. In 2014 I was given my first drawing set and spent many hours observing animals closely and trying to show my perception with the pencils.

I immediately enjoyed capturing the characteristics and expression of a particular animal with my pencils. Of course, the initial drawings were far away from perfect... but I just kept practicing.

A few years later I started to publish my drawings on Social Media and so the first small orders came my way. Since then I have constantly improved my skills and tried out different mediums such as charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pastel, watercolor and acrylic.

A completely new path opened, when I first discovered the Airbrush technique in 2018. Working with the Airbrush cannot be compared to drawing with a pencil and I was completely at the beginning, but I accepted the challenge and kept immersing myself in the Airbrush scene. In August 2019 I got the opportunity to attend a course in Russia from professionals like Alina Tarasenko. Since this year I have been painting realistic pictures on all possible surfaces with my Airbrush. These include, helmets, wooden panels or walls both indoors and outdoors.

In July 2020 I successfully completed my diploma as a graphic designer and am now also increasingly working on the design of logos and print products for customers. I already had a few exhibitions, were on the cover of an American artist magazine and passed on my knowledge in workshops. However, what makes me feel happy and particularly motivates me, are the emotional reactions of my clients, when presenting them their personal portraits.

What sets me apart is definitely my ambition. As soon as I've finished a drawing, I already know what I have to improve or do differently on the next project. Making my works as realistic and expressive as possible, is my main goal.
